Connie Cody (pictured left) and I have been partnering to provide photographic services to my clients for more than two years.

I saw some of her work in a local publication and said to myself, "she and I need to talk." I liked her photographic vision, from her creative conceptualization through her brilliant use of light. As someone who has shot tens of thousands of images professionally, I am very critical when evaluating photographic talent.

After a couple of shoots, which I have always art directed, I discovered that she is pure genious when it comes to her work. And she's fast and efficient, too. In a one-hour shoot we can provide up to 15 high-quality images for a restaurant ... including both beautiful facility photographs and mouth-watering images of the client's offerings.

I don't really art direct any more ... I am at a shoot to hand-hold the client, make sure the shoot flows smoothly, tidy up things which may look out of order, bring freshly prepared food to Connie for shooting (so she can click away) and, once in a while, hold her reflectors. In other words, I act as a photographer's assistant.
